DESCRIPTION:Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce Announces Leadership Cedar Park Project "Books for Babies"\n\n \n\nThe Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that the Leadership Cedar Park Class of 2015-2016 has selected to establish a community based project entitled\, "Books for Babies." \n\n \n\n"Books for Babies" is a national literacy program that acquaints parents of newborns with the important role they play in the development of their children.  Parents are presented with a book for their baby\, baby's first library card\, and a variety of brochures with reading tips and early literacy information from nationally-recognized educational organizations.  The Leadership Cedar Park project will begin distribution of the kits to babies born at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center beginning May 2016.\n\n \n\nDonations for this program are now being accepted. Participants are selected through an application process each summer. Past graduates include members of the Cedar Park City Council\, Congressional Staff members\, and President's/CEO's of local companies.
